Function
Apoptosis Antagonizing Transcription Factor (AATF) localizes to primary cilia, and its depletion results in reduced ciliation of renal epithelial cells.AATF is a regulator of primary cilia and a modulator of the DNA damage response, connecting two pathogenetic mechanisms in nephronophthisis and related ciliopathies(PMID: 30770218).
