Function

ACTR2 (ARP2) is a core subunit of the ARP2/3 complex, which nucleates actin polymerization at filament branches. In a functional genomic screen for ciliogenesis modulators, silencing the ARP2/3 subunit ACTR3 significantly increased cilium length (Kim et al., 2010, Nature, PMID 20393563).
