Function
Actin-Related Protein-Testis1 (ARP-T1)/ACTRT1 participates in the regulation of cilia length and that ARP-T1-associated BDCS is a case of skin cancer with ciliopathy characteristics.Overexpression of mutant ACTRT1 (547_548insA) reduced ciliary length by ~25%.Knockdown of ACTRT1 by shRNAs reduced ciliary length by ~25–50% depending on cell line and shRNA(33972689).
