Function
Ift88-mutant cells lacking cilia show reduced glutamine-dependent mitochondrial a plerosis during metabolic stress, due to reduced expression and activity of ASNS at the base of cilia (36879119). Silencing Asns induced the expected elongation of cilia at baseline(PMID: 36879119).
