Function
It is involved in primary ciliogenesis in human cells and modulates actin polymerization, its depletion reduces the number of primary cilia without changing their length, suggesting it would be involved in cilia initiation rather than in cilia elongation. C2orf62 in association with TTC17 probably act on both motile and primary cilia formation (PMID: 24475127).
