Function

CREB1 at the basal body, which co-localized to the nucleoplasm, supporting the hypothesis that the cilium controls gene expression by local modification of transcription factors beyond Sonic Hedgehog sig ling, as shown recently for CREB1. The ciliary sig losome relies on an increase in ciliary cAMP level and subsequent PKA鈥恉ependent phosphorylation of CREB in the cilium(35695071). CREB1 enrolls in the Cyclic AMP (cAMP)-mediated signaling (GO:0019933) (41005307)
