Comparison of the expression levels of ciliary implicated genes between negative and transfected cells demonstrated a significantly reduction of ENO4 (p < 0.001, by two-sided unpaired t-test)(PMID: 31735554).HOATZ mediates the maturation of the glycolytic enzyme ENO4, thus contributing to the translocation of the latter during motile ciliogenesis and flagellar genesis (PMID: 32248064).ENO4 has located to motile cilia.
