Function

Involved in primary cilia elongation, microtubule assembly, stability and dy mics. Modulates CRMP- 2 ciliary localisation, and its ephosphorylated state is required for ciliary function (23185275). Ciliary- mainte nce sig lling network, its disruption causes loss of cilia (17450132). Phosphorylates Sufu and stabilises it against Shh sig ling-induced degradation (21317289). Ciliogenesis was inhibited … by knockout of GSK3β in cells. Gsk3b modulates cilia length through Torc1 signaling. GSK3 inhibition by lithium induces long cilia phenotype.
