Function

ISX-like knockdown did not simply prevent the formation of the apical tuft cilia, but rather led to a loss of the apical tuft cell identity, i.e. the expression of the larva-specific ring neuron markers NVE8226 and NVE14902, as well as the expression of the upstream aboral regulator Six3/6, expanded into the spot domain ( 36000354).
