Function

Promotes the primary cilium disassembly through its microtubule-depolymerising activity at the mother centriole, coupled with cell proliferation and blocking i ppropriate ciliogenesis during the cycling phase. Controls the cytoplasmic tubulin concentration to regulate primary cilia disassembly (25660017). Mutations cause primary microcephaly. Recruited by CEP170 (31197141).
