Function

Promotes the primary cilium disassembly through its microtubule-depolymerising activity at the mother centriole, coupled with cell proliferation and blocking inappropriate ciliogenesis during the cycling phase. Controls the cytoplasmic tubulin concentration to regulate primary cilia disassembly (25660017). Mutations cause primary microcephaly. Recruited by CEP170 (31197141).
