Inhibitory role on cilia extension. Interacts with CCDC28B to regulate cilia length and the sub-cellular distribution of CCDC28B (29445114). Required for intraflagellar transport and the formation of primary cilia (31636894).Kinesin 1 components (KLC1/KIF5B) primarily regulate cilia length, LoF causes elongation, minimal effect on ciliated cells(PMID: 29445114).
