Ciliogenesis screen results (4 screens)

  • Kim2016: Not Reported
  • Wheway et al. 2015 (siRNA) [siRNA]: Ciliogenesis Defect (z=-3.57) PMID:26167766
  • Breslow et al. 2018 (CRISPR) [CRISPR]: No Significant Effect PMID:29459680

Phenotypes

Mouse phenotype:
decreased grip strength, decreased locomotor activity, increased grip strength, decreased prepulse inhibition, decreased hemoglobin content
Mouse ciliopathy phenotype:
increased circulating alanine transamise level

Subcellular localization

basal body, cytosol

Functional category

  • Ciliary assembly/disassembly
  • Actin & cytoskeleton regulation
  • Signaling (Hedgehog, GPCRs, ion channels)
  • Transcription regulation

Function

In wild-type (Lats1+/+) MEFs, Lats1 colocalized with γ-tubulin, a component of the pericentriolar material (PCM) that accumulated substantially at the basal bodys (corresponding to mature basal bodys) during late G2 phase, metaphase and a /telophase (26530630).

Model organism evidence

Mus musculus (1 reference)

Type III adenylyl cyclase (AC3, ADCY3) is predominantly enriched in neuronal primary cilia throughout the central nervous system (CNS).
