Function
ptgs1 overexpression rescues ciliogenesis and re l multiciliated cells in ppargc1a-deficient embryos ( 33176142).
Model organism evidence
Danio rerio (3 references)
We reported that emx2 regulates prostaglandin biosynthesis in ciliogenesis and renal fate changes through key factors including ppargc1a, ptgs1 and PGE2.
These phenotypes were consistent with interruptions in prostaglandin signaling, and we found that ciliogenesis was rescued by PGE2 or the cyclooxygenase enzyme Ptgs1.
Mus musculus (1 reference)
These phenotypes were consistent with interruptions in prostaglandin signaling, and we found that ciliogenesis was rescued by PGE2 or the cyclooxygenase enzyme Ptgs1.
