  • Actin & cytoskeleton regulation
  • Signaling (Hedgehog, GPCRs, ion channels)
  • Ciliary membrane

Function

Also known as FIP3. Rab11 effector, required for regulation of preciliary trafficking and ciliogenesis. FIP3 increases Rabin8 affinity for Rab11 and forms a complex with them (31204173). Interact with Arf4, ASAP1 and Rab11 to form a complex that regulates budding of post-Trans-Golgi Network carriers targeted to the primary cilia (19153612), which meand that FIP3 is an essential regulator of ciliary membrane targeting, expansion and compartmentalisation of sig ling receptors (25673879)
