Function

Certain ribosome components, RPL23A, specifically localize to the base of cilia in RG. Immunostaining confirms ribosome components and translation factors in primary cilia of embryonic radial glia (RPS23, RPL19, EIF3C, EEF2, EEF1G; RPL23A at the ciliary base) and in NIH3T3 cilia (RPS3, RPL11, RPL10A) (Liu et al., 2026, Cell Rep, PMID 42105234).
