Function

This approach allowed us to identify three additional mammalian sperm-specific proteins: EFCAB3, SPMAP1 (C17ORF98), and testis-specific serine/threonine kinase 6 (TSSK6) (Fig. 7B–C). TSSK6 and SPMAP1 interact directly with the tubulin lattice at the seam (Fig. 7B–C). EFCAB3, a potential calcium binding protein, acts as an adaptor between TSSK6 and the outer junction MAP, CFAP97D1(37327785).
