Function

Also known as NYD-SP14. Strongly expressed in tissues with motile cilia and flagella. Functions in cilia and flagella, most likely as an inner-arm dynein subunit. Chlamydomo s homologue encodes 44kDa subunit of axonemal dynein (17981992). Involved in functio l interaction with the IFT machinery, participating in anterograde IFT. Mutations have been associated with multiple morphological abnormalities of the flagella (31735294).
