Phenotypes

Mouse phenotype:
increased hematocrit, increased erythrocyte cell number, decreased bone mineral density, irregularly shaped pupil

Subcellular localization

cilia

Functional category

  • Ciliary assembly/disassembly

Function

TTC39c has weak association with IFT144 and IFT139, two subunits of IFT-A(25860617). TTC39A/C and TMEM145 are localized to the cilia of sensory neurons in the head (amphid) and tail (phasmid) of C. elegans (38989623).

Model organism evidence

Mus musculus (1 reference)

Ttc39c is upregulated during skeletal muscle atrophy and modulates ERK1/2 MAP kinase and hedgehog signaling.
