Hydrocephalus due to dysfunctio l motile cilia in KO mouse, suggesting it may be involved in the development and/or function of motile cilia in the respiratory tract and ependyma (21746835). Essential for Ciliogenesis and CSF Flow. Modulates expression of the master regulator of ciliogenesis, Foxj1,its target genes and other ciliogenesis molecules, influencing axoneme structure, basal body alignment, cilia number and beating. Implicated in ciliopathy-related disorders (27445138).
