Function
Regulator of protein quality control and ubiquitin-mediated sig ling. Interacts wiith UBXN10 to control its localisation to cilia. VCP and UBXN10 interaction is also required for ciliogenesis and mainte nce of cilia (26389662). VCP localizes to primary cilia; its inhibition reduces cilia length and affects cilia assembly. VCP inhibition reduces cyst burden in Pkd1-KO mice. Connects proteostasis and ciliary dynamics.
