Function

BBS1 deficiency results in the failure of T cells to clear F-actin from the centrosomal area, concomitant with the persistence of the centrosomal WASH pool , WASH1 (also known as WASHC1), that sustains the polymerization of new actin filaments, which might account for the i bility of the centrosome to translocate to the immune sy pse (34423835).
